Antique Bowie

Overview

This antique bowie I believe was made from what was a broken sword, I think that, because I have seen a few of these, also, the way the fuller is ground all the way to the end makes me think it was part of a larger blade at some point. It has a satin finished blade with large fullers, .249″ blade stock and 1.665″ blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has an engraved steel guard and fittings with a dark wood grip and steel butt plate. Has scratches, patina, pitting, a couple cracks in the handle, dings, etc, fair condition for its age.
